Opgesloten in de sluis en weg van het zoute water | Locked up in the lock and away from the salt waters
17 juli – Een aantal milestones gehad vandaag. Zeeland achter ons gelaten, na de Krammer sluis het zoute water verlaten en nu dus terug op de binnenwateren. Absoluut geen wind, maximaal 3 knopen maar meestal minder, echter dan is Zeeland toch ook mooi om doorheen te varen. Schitterende vergezichten, de zon op het water en de glinstering van het zoute water is iets waar we van hebben genoten. Het was wel erg warm met boven de 30 graden dus ook dat hebben we mee gekregen.
Willemstad is een mooi klein stadje bebouwd in 1853 als vestingstad voor pins Maurits. Het heeft een lange historie en is mooi in stand gehouden waardoor het nog veel karakter heeft. We vonden dat we de reis door Zeeland het beste konden afsluiten door een goede mosselmaaltijd te nuttigen.

July 17 – We passed a couple of milestones today, We left the salt water when we went through the Krammer lock so we are back on the inland waters of the Netherlands. We had absolutely no wind, max 3 knots but mostly less than that. However, also at those days, Zeeland is a nice place for cruising, excellent views, glistering sunshine on the water made us enjoy the day. It was very warm with temperatures over 30 Celsius.
Willemstad is a nice little town build in 1853 as part of the defense ring of Prince Maurits. It has a long history, has been very well maintained and has maintained its character. We decided that the best way to finish our trip through Zeeland would be an excellent meal with mussels.
